Description
This specification covers hydrochloric acid for use in the treatment of potable water supplies to control the pH of untreated surface water. The concentration hydrochloric acid solution shall be 22 °Be (36 wt%) and be ANSI/NSF Standard 60 approved. Hydrochloric acid shall be delivered in bulk shipments of approximately 4,000 gallons per delivery, with an annual estimated use of 70,000 gallons. Packaging and shipments shall conform to all applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements.
