Print Bid Number: WIN: 026232.00 Bid Title: Simpson’s Point Boat Launch & Beach Access in the Municipality of Brunswick Category: Public Works Status: Open Description: Notice to Contractors Sealed Bids addressed to the Municipality of Brunswick and endorsed on the wrapper “Bids for Simpson’s Point Boat Launch & Beach Access in the Municipality of Brunswick” will be received from contractors at the municipal building, located at 85 Union Street, Brunswick, ME 04011, at 2:00 o’clock PM (prevailing time) on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 and at that time and place publicly opened and read. The low bidder must demonstrate successful completion of projects of similar size and scope, with examples with references, to be considered for the award of this contract. A Highway or Marine Prequalification through the Maine Department of Transportation will fulfill this requirement. Location: The project is located in Brunswick, in Cumberland County. WIN: 026232.00 Outline of Work: Replacement of boat ramp and construction of new shore access path and stair and other incidental work. The basis of award will be the lowest responsive bid based on the Base Bid. Questions received after Friday, November 21, 2025 at 5:00 PM will not be answered. Digital bid documents may be requested by emailing GEI Consultants at . Physical copies of bid documents may be viewed at Town Hall located at 85 Union Street, Brunswick, ME. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Municipality and must be accompanied by a bid bond of 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier’s check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order for 5% of the bid amount, payable to Town of Brunswick, as a Bid Guaranty. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each for 100% of the Contract price, shall be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable state laws. All work shall be governed by the Maine Department of Transportation Standard Specifications (March 2020) and Standard Details (March 2020), which are online: www.maine.gov/mdot/contractors/publications/. They may be purchased by phone at (207) 624-3536 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. M-F, price $10 ($15 by mail). The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
