Description
The awarded contractor agrees to provide the DMV all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to perform moving and/or transportation services of office furniture and equipment, and office moves and event setups within a 25-mile radius of DMV Headquarters for the term of the Agreement. See Exhibit A, Scope of Work, for a complete description of services. Bidder shall possess a valid Motor Carrier Permit issued by the California DMV or a valid license issued by the California Bureau of Household Goods and Services (BHGS) for office moves between buildings that involve transportation over public streets and highways. The bidder shall provide experienced movers with knowledge of Modular Systems Furniture (MSF). Movers shall be able to identify MSF parts and pieces to relocate within surplus at DMV Headquarters in Sacramento and to deliver to projects as well as return to surplus. The anticipated term for this Agreement is 3/1/2026 or upon contract approval, whichever occurs later, through 2/28/2029. Questions are due 2/17/2026 @ 4:30 p.m. Answers will be posted on 2/19/2026 by 4:30 p.m. Bids are due 2/26/2026 by 11:59 p.m. and MUST be emailed to DMVBIDS@dmv.ca.gov. The estimated cost for this project is $1,015,202.00.
