Highway Superintendent Description: TOWN OF MILTON, VERMONT 05468 Department of Public Works: Admin, Buildings and Grounds, Highway Operations, Water and Wastewater September 7, 2022 Town of Milton, Invitation to Bid for Tree Removal, Fall 2022 The Town of Milton Public Works Department (DPW) is accepting bids for tree removal. All bids must be received by Friday 9/23/22 at 3:00pm in the DPW office. At that time there will be a public bid opening. The Town Of Milton Highway Division has identified hazardous trees in the Town’s Right of Way to be removed. All trees are marked with orange flag tape and pink numbers on the tree or on the roadway directly in front of the tree. All trees shall be removed and the stumps cut within 6” of the ground. The Contractor is responsible for their own traffic control. The contractor shall provide the DPW their schedule and shall notify the Highway Superintendent no less than one day before beginning the work. The work must be complete before Dec 15, 2022. No work shall take place if the Highway Division is out conducting winter operations or in inclement weather. Here is a list of the trees included in this invitation to bid: Tree on Middle Rd at St Ann’s Cemetery remove dead Elm. Tree at 431 East remove marked tree. All work will be done in the presence of the Highway Superintendent. Tree at 29 Main Street remove dead tree directly behind the sidewalk. St Ann’s Church on Main Street remove dead tree in green belt. Trees 5, 6 and 7 are on Westford Rd. A large poplar tree on the left going up the road above Bernier Rd. A dead elm on the right mark on the pavement Near Clay Ridge on the right side, mark on the pavement, a group of dead elm trees. Mears at Sanderson, large dead tree.
