Because public access to City Hall is closed through and past the MON, 30 MAR 2020 submission deadline for this RFP, sealed proposals may not be delivered in person. ORIGINAL: The City of Morgantown, West Virginia is seeking qualified consultants to undertake the development of a Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO) and a variety of “on-call” planning consulting service assignments in support of the implementation of the goals, objectives, and principles of the 2013 Comprehensive Plan. The selected consultant must be able to show experience and knowledge of the specific requirements of West Virginia State Land Use Planning Code Chapter 8A, the ability to be creative yet practical in the development of provisions of a SALDO, and also have experience in developing technical and detailed provisions of a SALDO as specifically tailored to the implementation and continual update of the 2013 Comprehensive Plan. The purpose of this land use planning and implementation initiative is to integrate adopted land use plans with the City’s development regulations to guide and incentivize desired residential, commercial, and economic development and enhance the built environment throughout the City. Sealed proposals must be delivered to the City of Morgantown Development Services Department no later than 2:00 p.m., prevailing time, on MON, 30 MAR 2020, and must be addressed to: Development Services Department City of Morgantown 389 Spruce Street Morgantown, WV 26505 Sealed proposal envelopes shall carry a clear notation in the lower left quadrant, “SALDO and On-Call Planning Consulting Services” Proposals submitted by facsimile or email will not be accepted.
