This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal. The National Institute of Health Office of Logistics and Acquisitions intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with the following vendor: American Hospital Association.
Acquisition Description:
The purpose of this acquisition is to pay the NIH Clinical Center's annual membership dues to the American Hospital Association. The American Hospital Association (AHA) is the national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patient communities. Close to 5,000 hospitals, health care systems, networks, other providers of care and 40,000 individuals come together to form the AHA. Through representation and advocacy activities, AHA ensures that members perspectives and needs are heard and addressed in national health policy development, legislative and regulatory debates, and judicial matter. The AHA provides education for health care leaders and is a source of information on health care issues and trends. Membership in this organization provides critical information, insights, and inside perspectives to the ever-changing challenges facing the hospital field. AHA is recognized as the national advocate for hospitals and the communities and patients they serve. It works with its members, state, regional, and metropolitan associations and other organizations to improve the ability of its members to deliver quality health care. As a member, the NIH Clinical Center benefits from the resources provided by the AHA.
The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. All responsible sources that could provide the required may submit a capability statement that will be considered by email (subject line to reference NOI-CC-26-000923) by 12:00 PM eastern standard time on 02/28/2026 to: valerie.gregorio@nih.gov.
All responses received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
