Print Bid Title: 16th St. & 31st Ave SW Intersection Improvements Category: City Clerk Status: Closed Description: The City Clerk of the City of Minot will receive Sealed Bids at her Office at City Hall 515 2 nd Avenue SW until 11:00 A.M. CST on January 10, 2017 for furnishing the City of Minot the following: “Bid for No. 4125-16 th Street & 31 st Ave SW Intersection Improvements” At which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of constructing a turn lane to reconfigure the geometrics of the intersection. The Work will also include grading and storm sewer improvements to accommodate drainage. Major Items included are: Storm Sewer Structures, Storm Sewer – RCP, Bituminous Pavement & Curb Removal, Aggregate Base Course, Asphalt Pavement, Vinyl Fencing, Pavement Markings, Traffic Signal Modifications. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. Bidding Documents may be examined at the City Engineer’s Office at 1025 31 st Street SE, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; and the office of the Engineer, Moore Engineering, Inc., 2730 30 th Street Northwest Suite B, Minot, ND 58703, 701.839.1590, Joshua Reiner , on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a bidder's bond in a sum equal to 5% of the full amount of the bid executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety, conditioned that if the principal's bid is accepted and a contract is awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten (10) days after the notice of the award, shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and the bid bond, and any conditions of the City of Minot, as required by law. A countersignature of a bid bond is not required. If the City of Minot elects to award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder, and the lowest responsible bidder does not execute a contract within ten (10), the bidder’s bond will be forfeited to the City of Minot, and the City of Minot may award the project to the next lowest responsible bidder. Each bidder must possess a valid North Dakota contractor’s license for the full amount of their bid, as required by N.D.C.C. § 43-07-07. Each bidder MUST enclose a copy of their Contractor’s License or Certificate of Renewal, issued by the North Dakota Secretary of State, in their bid bond envelope, and each license must be valid and dated at least 10 days prior to the date set for bid opening, as required under N.D.C.C. § 43-07-12. The City of Minot will not read or consider any bid that does not fully comply with the requirements above, or the requirements of N.D.C.C. § 48-01.2-05. The City of Minot will reseal any deficient bid submitted and return it to the bidder immediately. The work for the improvements must be completed as stipulated in the Agreement. The City of Minot reserves the right to hold all bids for a period of 60 days after the date of the bid opening, to reject any or all bids, and to waive any irregularities. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
