Print Bid Title: CLEANING SERVICES AT PUBLIC WORKS BUILDINGS Category: Public Works Status: Closed Description: The City of Montpelier is soliciting bids for cleaning services at the following Public Works Buildings: Garage Facility at 783 Dog River Road, and the Wastewater Treatment Facility at 949 Dog River Road, for the coming year (July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019). Bids will be received until 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Office of the Public Works Director, City Hall, 39 Main Street, Montpelier, VT 05602. Before a contract is executed, certificates testifying to coverage for Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance must be provided. Bids will be clearly marked, “Cleaning Services at Public Works Buildings” and mailed or delivered to the Office of the Public Works Director, City Hall, 39 Main Street, Montpelier, VT 05602. It is strongly suggested that interested bidders visit the site to become thoroughly familiar with the existing conditions and location of each area. If questions arise, the bidders may contact the Equipment Division Supervisor at 223-9510. The Contract will be awarded to a responsible and eligible bidder as determined by the City. A firm, fixed price contract shall be awarded to a responsible bidder. In determining whether a bidder is responsible, the following shall be considered: Ability to perform successfully under the terms and conditions of the proposed contract, contractor integrity, compliance with public policy, record of past performance, and financial and technical resources. City Council approval is necessary before the award is made. Any or all bids may be rejected for any reason. In accordance with current policy, low bid does not always have to be taken. The City reserves the right to change the Scope of Services at any time for budgetary reasons (see Scope of Services). The Contract will be awarded within thirty (30) days after the bid receipt deadline.
