The Kids in Parks Transportation Grant is closed for the 2025/2026 school year. Your Donations Keep Kids in Parks! The State Parks Kids in Parks transportation grants provide teachers with funds for buses to connect their students to the outdoors. Teachers must connect classroom learning to the outdoors and evaluate students’ experiences. Your contributions have made it possible for more than 170,000 kids to participate in the Kids in Parks program since 2007. To make a contribution using a tax refund, fill in Line 40 of your NM Personal Income Tax Return (PIT-1) that reads, “Refund voluntary contributions” and attach a PIT-D, New Mexico Voluntary Contributions Schedule. If you are not due a refund, contributions may be directly sent to: EMNRD – NM State Parks Division 1220 South St. Francis Drive Santa Fe, New Mexico, 87505.
