Description
CA- KERN NWR- SPREADING OF GRAVEL The Kern NWR needs 3/4" virgin gravel applied on roughly 3.2 miles of road (see combined synopsis/solicitation for more details). This gravel will be spread by the contractor at 8' wide and 3" deep. The refuge has a gravel stockpile of roughly 610 tons of 3/4" gravel that will be used for part of this project. Contractor will need to load and apply this gravel to the project roads identified on the map. The rest of the gravel needed is approximately 1,280 tons of 3/4" virgin gravel to cover the total 3.2 miles. It is approximately 4.5 miles from the refuge gravel stockpile to the project road.
