Description
This specification covers liquid chlorine for use in the disinfection of potable water. The liquid chlorine shall be contained in 150-pound cylinders and/or 1-TON containers. The liquid chlorine shall be 99.5 vol.% pure as determined by analyzing the chlorine by the method described in ANSI/AWWA B301-18 section5.3.2.1 verification section and be ANSI/NSF Standard 60 approved. Packaging and shipment shall conform to all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations. Estimated annual usage is as follows: One-ton container-120,000 pounds total (60 containers) and 150 pound cylinders-135,000 pounds total (900 cylinders).
