Bids will be opened and read aloud at 9:50 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, during the Board of County Commissioners meeting at the Family and Child Resource Center, 2101Claflin Road, Room 124, Manhattan, KS 66502. Principal Items of Work: Alternate #1 2146 Tons of Aggregate 1 as specified in Materials section 395 Tons of emulsified asphalt as specified in Materials section Alternate #2 2575 Tons of Aggregate 2 as specified in Materials section 395 Tons of emulsified asphalt as specified in Materials section Construction Method: Delivery and application of CRS-1HP emulsified asphalt and of specified chip aggregate (to be determined) at specified locations. All bidders must be on the plan holders list to be eligible. No Bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of 30 days following the opening of Bids. The character and amount of security to be furnished by each Bidder is stated in the above mentioned Contract Documents. Working Days, the Proposed Start Date, and Bid Amount will all be considered in awarding of the Bid. The Riley County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive informalities in considering Bids and to accept the Bid which, in the Board’s opinion, is in the best interest of Riley County.
