Print Bid Number: 20230306 Bid Title: Request for Qualifications for Compensation Study Category: Consultation / Management Bids Status: Closed Bid Recipient: Town of Essex Description: The Town of Essex is seeking a professional consultant to undertake a compensation study, including a review of job descriptions with staff, the HR Director, and the Town Manager. We would like the consultant to propose recommendations to existing pay scales in our AFSCME and Police Union Contracts and provide recommended salary ranges for non-union employees. The recommendations should be based on analysis of similar positions in similar municipalities, provide recommendations on the pay scales. Consideration to similar positions in the private sector may be appropriate, as well. The Town of Essex Vermont last conducted a compensation analysis in 2019. The Vermont League of Cities and Towns’ Compensation Report and past Gallagher Flynn & Company compensation surveys will be made available to the chosen consultant. The study is likely to include approximately 73 total positions: 36 AFSCME Union positions, 5 Police Union Positions, and 32 Non-Union Positions.
