Print Bid Number: 2025-0017 Bid Title: Notice for Bids for Petroleum Products and Street Maintenance Materials for Year 2026 Category: City of Watertown Bid Postings Status: Closed Description: NOTICE FOR BIDS PROJECT 2527 PETROLEUM PRODUCTS AND STREET MAINTENANCE MATERIALS FOR YEAR 2026 Sealed bids will be received at the City Finance office, PO Box 910, 20 N Maple, Watertown SD 57201, up to 03:00 PM on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 for furnishing of the following items, to the City of Watertown, South Dakota: 1. Hot mix and cold mix asphalt 2. Gasoline & diesel fuel 3. Salt & calcium chloride Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or cashier’s check in the amount of $200. Such check shall be a certified or a cashier’s check issued by either a state or national bank and payable to the City Finance Office as a guarantee that such bidder will enter into a contract with said City in case such bidder be awarded the contract. PERSONAL, CORPORATION, OR COMPANY CHECKS NOT CERTIFIED WILL DISQUALIFY THE BID. In lieu of bid check security, a bid bond in twice the amount of the bid security is acceptable. Bid shall be enclosed in a separate envelope with the notation “BID ENCLOSED” clearly marked on the face of the envelope. At the time named above such bids will be opened publicly and will be referred to the City Engineer and City Council for tabulation and review. The City Council will meet in City Hall, 20 N Maple, in said City on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 5:30 PM to pass upon the same. Specifications for such bids are on file in the office of the City Engineer, where the same may be examined. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, or any part of the bid, or to accept a bidder other than the lowest in case it seems advisable to said City Council so to do. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of opening thereof. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to material products and supplies found or produced within the State of South Dakota. The City of Watertown, South Dakota does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, or disability in employment or the provision of services.
