Print Bid Title: Requests for Proposals: Police Station Cooling System Upgrade Category: Facilities Status: Closed Bid Recipient: City of Montpelier, Facilities Project Manager, City Hall, 39 Main Street, Montpelier, VT 05602 Description: Request for Proposal & Scope of Work available at http://www.montpelier-vt.org/DocumentCenter/View/5386/RFP--Police-Station-Cooling-System-Upgrade DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT The City of Montpelier is requesting fixed price, lump sum bids from qualified firms to provide partial demolition and modifications to the existing heating/cooling system and to design and install the new systems including all labor, management, supervision, materials, tools and equipment, except as noted. SCOPE OF SERVICES/SPECIFICATIONS The overall Scope of Work as well as a Project Description and Specifications are contained in a document entitled “Scope of Work for Montpelier Police Station Upgrade” prepared by Cx Associates LLC, dated January 31, 2018, attached hereto. The City will contract directly with Temperature Controls of Vermont (TCV) for the control system. The TCV scope of work is attached. For questions regarding this portion of the work, contact Josh Dalmer at TCV. PROJECT SCHEDULE Work to be started as soon as possible after City approval. Functionality of the existing cooling system shall be maintained until mid-October. Work shall be completed by November 30, 2018. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS Fixed price, lump sum bids are due by 2:30 PM on Wednesday, August 25, 2018 and will be opened and read in the Manager’s Conference Room at that time. Complete proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked POLICE STATION COOLING SYSTEM UPGRADE PROJECT and addressed to: City of Montpelier Facilities Project Manager City Hall 39 Main Street Montpelier, Vermont 05602 Bid submittals shall include: 1) a list of references, 2) a list of similar projects completed, and 3) Certificates of Insurance. All potential bidders must attend the Bidders Meeting on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the project site.
