Print Bid Title: 2017 Pavement Markings (4275) Category: City Clerk Status: Closed Description: NOTICE TO BIDDERS CITY OF MINOT PROJECT NO. 4275 2017 PAVEMENT MARKINGS The City Clerk of the City of Minot will receive sealed bids at her office at City Hall until 11:00 AM on March 14, 2017 for furnishing the City of Minot the following: “2017 Pavement Markings” Specifications and general instructions to bidders are available in the Traffic Engineer’s Office at 1025 31 st Street Southeast, Minot, North Dakota 58701. Bidding documents can be viewed at the Minot Builders Exchange, 2424 Burdick Expressway E. The work consists of longitudinal pavement markings of the following approximate quantities: 4IN PAINTED PVMT MK LINE - YELLOW : 295,000 LINEAR FEET 4IN PAINTED PVMT MK LINE - WHITE : 135,000 LINEAR FEET 6IN PAINTED PVMT MK LINE - WHITE : 12,000 LINEAR FEET 8IN PAINTED PVMT MK LINE - WHITE : 20,000 LINEAR FEET 24IN PAINTED PVMT MK LINE - WHITE : 4,000 LINEAR FEET 4IN EPOXY PVMT MK LINE - YELLOW : 21,500 LINEAR FEET 4IN EPOXY PVMT MK LINE - WHITE : 8,000 LINEAR FEET 24IN EPOXY PVMT MK LINE - WHITE : 7,000 LINEAR FEET EPOXY PVMT MK MESSAGE ARROWS - WHITE : 1,000 SQUARE FEET All bids are to be submitted on the basis of cash payment for the work and materials. Work on the first segment of this project shall be started on or before Monday, May 29, 2017 with work to be completed by Friday, June 30, 2017. Contractor shall contact the City of Minot Traffic Department (701-857-4100) before beginning the first segment of the project to ensure City streets have been adequately swept. An additional segment is to be completed in August or September 2017. A 21-day advance notice will be given, and the second phase is to be completed within 10 days. The City of Minot is exempt from state and federal excise and sales taxes and no amount for such taxes are to be included in the bid price. All bids are to be submitted on the basis of cash payment for the work and materials, and are to be enclosed in a sealed envelope, accompanied by a separate envelope containing the contractor’s license and the bidder’s bond in the sum equal to 5% of the full amount of the bid, executed by the bidder as principal, and by a surety, conditioned that if the principal’s bid is accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten days after notice of award, shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and a contractor’s bond as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the Minot City Council. Countersignature of a bid bond is not required. Any bidder must be licensed for the full amount of the bid, as required by Section 43-07-05 of the North Dakota Century Code. No bid may be read or considered if it does not fully comply with the requirements of Section 48-01.1-05 of the North Dakota Century Code, and any deficient bid submitted must be resealed and returned to the bidder immediately. The bid envelope shall be plainly marked: “Bid for 2017 Pavement Markings” The City Council of the City of Minot reserves the right to hold all bids for thirty days, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid and to award the contract as it deems to be in the best interest of the City of Minot. Further, the City reserves the right to adjust the actual quantities of work performed under this contract in the best interests of the City. No adjustment of unit prices will be allowed for variations between bid quantities and the actual quantities of work performed. Bidders are invited to be present at the above mentioned time and place for the opening of bids.
