Print Bid Title: Improvements to Belfast Public Landing Bid Category: Harbor Status: Closed Description: City of Belfast Bid Notice The City of Belfast Harbor Department and Maine Department of Transportation are requesting sealed bids for the following project: Improvements to Belfast Public Landing , in the town of Belfast, Maine. Outline of work includes replacing five (5) 8’ x 20’ timber floats, one (1) 12’ x 21’ float with steel bracket, and installing one (1) 3 pile dolphin, and other incidental work. Interested parties will be responsible for reviewing and retrieving Bid Specifications and Contract Documents which may be seen or are available for purchase from the City of Belfast Harbor Master: (207) 338-1142, City Clerk: (207) 338-3370 x 14, or at the following City of Belfast web site: www.cityofbelfast.org. Bids will be received until 2:00pm, May 16, 2014 at the City Clerk’s office at Belfast City Hall, 131 Church St., Belfast Maine, and at that time and place bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids will be accepted from all bidders. The City of Belfast will not accept facsimile nor electronic bids. Prices must be firm for thirty (30) days. This project requires approval from the Maine Department of Transportation as well as the City of Belfast. As an agency of government, the City of Belfast is exempt from payment of the State of Maine sales or use tax. Therefore bids should exclude such taxes. Federal excise certification shall be executed upon request of favorable bidder. The City of Belfast shall make an award of the contract based on the lowest price for a proposal meeting the bid specifications. The City of Belfast reserves the right to waive any formalities, and to reject any or all bids.
