Description
Project Description: The project scope includes but is not limited to: renovating space for the stem microscope on level g, which is partially below ground, in the University of Washington's Nanoengineering and Sciences Building (NanoES), completed in 2018. The primary objective is to create a STEM Microscope Column room that is separated from the STEM Electronics room. The STEM Microscope Column room will be directly adjacent to the STEM Electronics room. The renovation will include a new wall with aluminum shielding, removal of some existing ceiling (leaving exposed to existing aluminum shielding), other minor architectural adjustments, electrical upgrades, mechanical upgrades, acoustic upgrades, and structural bracing for equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Questions: Questions about this project should be directed to: *REVISED* Pre-Bid Site Meeting: The Project site is available for inspection by prospective bidders at a pre-bid site meeting and walk-through at 12:30 pm on March 18, 2026, at the NanoES Building, located at 3946 W. Stevens Way NE, Seattle, WA 98195. It is situated on the UW campus near the Molecular Engineering and Sciences Building.
