Replacement of the existing 6” water main and services on all roadways within the project area; the water main shall be replaced with the following: a. 530 linear feet of 8” diameter water main on Campus Avenue, between Sabattus Street and East Avenue. b. 550 linear feet of 6” diameter water main on Newman Street, between Campus Avenue and East Avenue. c. 775 linear feet of 8” diameter water main on Fairlawn Avenue, between East Avenue and Shirley Street. d. 850 linear feet of 6” diameter water main on Morris Avenue, between Brault Street and Dingley Street. e. 790 linear feet of 6” diameter water main on Stanley Street, between Sabattus Street and Montello Street. 2. Reconstruction of the following roadways: a. 650 linear feet of Campus Avenue (Sabattus to East). b. 700 linear feet of Newman Street (Campus to East). c. 780 linear feet of Fairlawn Avenue (East to Shirley). d. 650 linear feet of Stanley Street (Sabattus to Montello). 3. Reconstruction of bituminous sidewalk for the following areas: a. 360 linear feet on the southern side of Campus Avenue. b. 580 linear feet on the southern side of Fairlawn Avenue. 4. Installation of approximately 560 linear feet of storm drain and underdrain on Stanley Street. 5. Replacement of approximately 20 manhole frames and covers and catch basin frames and grates. Personal and business checks will not be accepted. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, preferably executed on AIA Bond Form Number A311, in an amount equal to the total contract price, of a surety company satisfactory to the Purchasing Agent, will be required of the successful bidder. The Contractor shall furnish proof of coverage with adequate insurance of the types and to the limits specified in the bid specifications naming the City of Lewiston as additional insured. Certificate of such insurance shall be filed with the Purchasing Agent for his/her approval before permission to commence work will be granted.
