Description
1.1 The provisions contained herein constitute an agreement between the City of Yelm and the Yelm Police Officer's Guild (Guild) governing wages, hours, and working conditions for sergeants and officers of the Yelm Police Department. 2. PURPOSE 2.1 The purpose of the Employer and the Guild in entering into this Agreement is to set forth their agreement with regard to wages, hours, and working conditions for the employees in the bargaining unit as to promote the efficiency of the law enforcement; public safety; the morale and security of employees covered by this Agreement; and hannonious relations, giving recognition to the rights and responsibilities of the Employer, the Guild, and the employees. No employee shall be deprived of any rights or freedoms afforded an ordinary citizen by the U.S. Constitution or the laws of this state. 3.
