The project consists of 14 Bid Packages: Bid Package #1 — Water Feature Bid Package #2 — Fence Bid Package #3A — Metal Bench Bid Package #3B — Waste Receptacle Bid Package #4 — Plants & Landscaping Bid Package #5 — Sidewalks Bid Package #6 — Concrete Walls, Piers Bid Package #7 — Masonry & Accessories Bid Package #8 — Stone KIA Monument Bid Package #9 — Stone Donor Monument Bid Package #10 — Stone Bench Bid Package #11 — Flagpole Bid Package #12 — Plumbing Bid Package #13 — Electrical Detailed plans and specifications are available from Ciavarella Design Inc. 410 W 2nd Avenue, Suite 4, Mitchell, SD 57301 (605-996-3735) or for review at Mitchell City Hall, 612 North Main Street, Mitchell, SD 57301 between normal business hours of 8am - 5pm. Bids will be received for Bid Packages 1 through 13 until 1:30pm on February 9, 2017 at the Mitchell City Hall, Attention Michelle Bathke, Finance Officer, 612 North Main Street, Mitchell, SD 57301 at which time bids will bepublicly opened and read aloud. All bid envelopes shall be in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Mitchell Veterans Park" along with the bid package number(s) enclosed. Performance bond, bid bond or security will NOT be required for bids under $50,000. For bids greater than or equal to $50,000, each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or cashier’s check in the amount of 5% of the bid and drawn on a State or National Bank or a 10% bid bond issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota and made payable to City of Mitchell. No bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to the bid security. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in any bid. The work on the improvements is to commence upon a date to be specified by the City of Mitchell or its designee.
