Print Bid Title: Burlington Housing Trust Fund Spring 2025 Request for Proposals Category: Current Requests for Quotes, Proposals and Bids Status: Closed Description: The Burlington Housing Trust Fund (BHTF) provides grants and loans for the promotion, retention, and creation of long-term affordable housing for very low, low, and moderate-income households. Non-profit corporations, municipal corporations, limited equity housing cooperatives, for-profit corporations, partnerships, and individuals are eligible to apply for project funding. Capacity grants are also made for the staffing, training, planning, fundraising, and ongoing operations of non-profit organizations creating or preserving housing for very low, low, and moderate-income households. The BHTF requests proposals for fiscal year 2025 (FY2025) spring awards. Total awards for this grant cycle will not exceed $840,000. The proposals shall be for projects and organizations serving the housing needs of low-income Burlington residents. All projects must serve households having an income not exceeding 100% of median income, as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and preference will be given to proposals serving households having an income not exceeding 50% of median income. Priority for funding will be given to perpetually affordable housing projects, particularly projects which create new permanently affordable units. Organizations that provide services, as distinct from housing development, are limited to capacity grants of no more than $10,000.00 per program. Spring FY2025 BHTF awards should be expended by June 30, 2026. Proposals for FY2025 BHTF funding must be submitted on or before Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. A complete application consists of an application form and all applicable attachments. Additional information may be requested of the applicant. Applications are reviewed for eligibility by the Community & Economic Development Office (CEDO). Eligible applications are then assessed by the Housing Trust Fund Administrative Committee, which makes funding decisions.
