The Center provides daily programs, meals, classes, and community activities, and requires reliable, consistent cleaning services to maintain a welcoming and sanitary environment. Full RFP Download Click here to download a PDF of the RFP Scope of Work Cleaning services are expected to be performed between 6–8 hours per week on a set schedule mutually agreed upon by the contractor and the City. Required Services Include: 4 Bathrooms (twice weekly minimum): Clean and disinfect toilets (6), urinals (2), 5 sinks, mirrors, and fixtures Refill soap, paper towels, and toilet paper (supplies provided by City) Sweep and mop floors Floors (weekly): Vacuum carpets and rugs throughout the facility Sweep and mop all hard flooring and common areas Surfaces (weekly): Wipe and disinfect high-touch surfaces (tables, chairs, railings, doorknobs) Dust furniture, ledges, and common area surfaces Remove trash and recycling (twice weekly minimum) from all rooms and place in designated disposal areas Optional / As-Needed Services (priced separately): Window cleaning Carpet deep cleaning specialty floor care Publication Date/Time: 11/7/2025 12:00 AM Closing Date/Time: 11/21/2025 11:59 PM Contact Person: Direct submittals questions to: Amy Pitton, MSAC Director apitton@montpelier-vt.org 802-262-6283 Download Available: Yes Business Hours: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Qualifications: Requirements: - Contractor will provide all labor. - City will supply cleaning supplies, equipment (vacuum, brooms, mop and bucket, floor cleaner), consumable products (paper goods, soaps, trash liners). - Contractor must be properly insured and provide proof of liability and workers’ compensation coverage. Proposals must include: 1. Company/individual name, address, and primary contact. 2. Description of relevant experience and qualifications. 3. Proposed weekly schedule and estimated weekly hours. 4. Total monthly cost for services outlined. 5. Two professional references. Special Requirements: Term: The City anticipates awarding a one-year contract, with the option to renew annually subject to performance and funding.
