Print Bid Title: Request for Proposal - Truck Scale Replacement Category: City of West Fargo RFP Status: Closed Description: City of West Fargo Request for Proposals The West Fargo Public Works Department, within the City of West Fargo, is requesting Proposals to replace an existing 70’ truck scale. Proposals will be received by the City of West Fargo Public Works Department for the purpose of evaluating costs. Sealed Proposals, along with a Digital Copy on a flash drive, will be received by the West Fargo Public Works Dept at 810 12 th Ave NW West Fargo ND 58078 , for the purpose of evaluating costs and operating parameters of a new truck scale. Upon completion of the evaluation by the selection committee an order may be placed. Proposals will be received until 2:00 PM on October 2,2025. Ensure the quote is labeled using bold lettering, clearly specifying its purpose, and identifying the intended recipient. CITY OF WEST FARGO RIGHTS The City reserves the right to cancel this Request for Quote in writing or postpone the date and time for submitting Quotes at any time prior to the proposal due date. The City by this Request For Quote does not promise to accept the lowest cost or any other proposal and specifically reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, to waive any formal Quote requirements, to investigate the qualifications and experience of any Vendor, to reject any provisions in any proposal, to modify Request For Quote contents, to obtain new quotes, to negotiate the requested services and contract terms with any Vendor, or to proceed to do the work otherwise. The City hereby notifies all Vendors that it will affirmatively insure that regarding any contract entered into, pursuant to this request, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity, and are encouraged to submit proposals in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. The City reserves the right to accept or reject all proposals that are in the best interest of the City. BIDDER: There shall be $500,000.00 minimum of product Liability coverage by the manufacturer and minimum of $500,000.00 liability coverage by the product installers to protect the City of West Fargo. Certification shall be provided with the proposal. Preference may be given to a local Dealer. REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL 1. Each bidder shall provide evidence of adherence to the specifications within this Request for Proposal 2. Any items not specifically noted or specified in this Request for Proposal that is required in order to supply the equipment requested, shall be considered incidental. Bidders shall provide lump sum pricing on the bid form. 3. The bidder shall note any deviations from the specifications on the enclosed bid form. 4. Each bidder shall provide a warranty period provided on the enclosed bid form. 5. The bidder shall provide an estimated Installation date and completion date. ACCEPTANCE OF BID The acceptance of the bids shall be based on the following criteria: 1. Cost. 2. Adherence to the specifications. 3. Warranty. 4. Installation Date and Completion Date. 1. Demolition Demo existing 70’L x 10’W scale deck, remove scale weighbridge and scale components. Haul Away Demo and remove load cell mounts, base plates, and grout. Demo and remove pillars as needed. Remove all demolished material from the site. 2. New Construction Cap and/ or form and pour (8) load cell base plate piers to manufacturer specifications. Repair damaged pit wall coping and scale pit walls as needed. Form and pour using concrete (70’L x 10’W x 6”-8” thick. Broom Finish. 3. Scale Equipment Full 4-section electronic truck scale. 70’L x 10’W x 6” Thick concrete deck design. 200,000 Lb capacity, 100,000 Lb CLC (concentrated load capacity). Lightning protection package. (2) Two standard manhole covers. 4. Electronics Re-use the existing 1280 digital indicator. 5.
