Print Bid Number: 11-12/P-3 Bid Title: Central Maui Landfill, Installation of Landfill Gas Monitoring Probes Category: Construction - All Construction Status: Closed Description: INVITATION TO BID PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 103D, HRS, SEALED BID PROPOSALS for supplying, furnishing, and paying for all labor, materials, tools, transportation, and equipment necessary to construct in place complete, all work as called for on the plans and specifications for the CENTRAL MAUI LANDFILL, INSTALLATION OF LANDFILL GAS MONITORING PROBES, JOB #11-12/P-3 will be received by the Bid Receiver, Purchasing Division, Department of Finance, Wells Street Professional Center, 2145 Wells Street, Suite 104, Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii 96793, up to and publicly opened at 2:00 P.M., on Friday, August 26, 2011. This project involves installation of five (5) gas monitoring wells at Central Maui Landfill that consist of minimum 8-inch diameter boreholes in native volcanic soil and rock, completed to depths of 25 to 60 feet below existing grade. Each borehole has from one to three monitoring intervals with ¾-inch diameter PVC pipes in sand backfill, separated by bentonite plugs. Each well is completed with a locking cap and traffic bollards. Plans, specifications, and proposal forms on compact disk (CD) may be obtained at the Purchasing Division office. Bidders shall be licensed in accordance with Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of contractors Bidders are responsible for arranging their own site inspection prior to the bid. No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by one of the following forms of bidders security: cash, a cashier's check or certified check on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a bidder's bond executed by an approved surety insurer, made payable to the Director of Finance in the manner, form, and amount required by Section 103D-323, H.R.S. The proposal guaranty shall be equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total bid amount submitted. DANILO F.
