Art Building Renovations Project
Slippery Rock University, of the PA State System of Higher Education invites
Contractors to download bid documents for this project.
Work for the Project shall be accomplished by Separate Prime Contractors according to Pennsylvania statute. The Lead Prime Contractor shall be the General Contractor. Specific instructions for coordination and responsibilities of the Lead Prime Contractor are contained in Section 01 31 00, Project Management and Coordination, and elsewhere throughout the Contract Documents.
Work included under this Project consists of replacement of existing storefront entrances and glazing, primarily at the north vestibule of the building. The vestibule will be expanded to the north and a new accessible entrance will be created. Concrete sidewalks around the north entrance will be removed and replaced.
Other related work includes replacement of storefront entrances at the south and east entrances, installation of a solids interceptor at a sink in the printmaking studio, new trough sinks at the painting studio, and improvements to access control devices and head-end systems
Work shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, the furnishing of all labor, superintendence, materials, tools and equipment and performing all work necessary to complete all Construction to the satisfaction of the University, and subject to approval of the Professional and State System of Higher Education.
A Pre-bid conference, with site visit to follow, will be held on October 15, 2025, at 11AM, at 100 Building & Grounds Road, Slippery Rock PA, 16057. The pre-bid meeting is not mandatory but highly recommended.
