Description
Sealed bids for a lump sum price contract will be received by the City of Elyria, Ohio, until 2:00 PM local time on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, for the project known as: POCKET PARK DEVELOPMENT (REBID) The bids are to be delivered to the Office of the Engineer, Elyria City Hall, 131 Court Street, Suite 303, Elyria, Ohio 44035. All bids received will then be opened and read at a public bid- opening meeting. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, and supervision of labors necessary to complete the work. This project includes creating an approximately 6,800 square foot park setting with landscaping, pervious pavers, concrete walkway, arch sign with foundations, decorative lighting, hydration station, small covered pavilion, curb ramps, crosswalk, planters and other appurtenances. Project is located at 1504 West Avenue, Elyria, OH 44035 (corner of West Ave and 15th Street) PROJECT FUNDING: The City of Elyria, Ohio is utilizing Community Development Block Grant funding for this project. THIS PROJECT IS FEDERALLY ASSISTED. CONTRACTS TO BE AWARDED UNDER THIS INVITATION FOR BIDS WILL BE SUBJECT TO FEDERAL LAWS AND RELATED ACTS THAT ARE REFERENCED IN THIS BID PACKAGE. BIDDING DOCUMENTS: The plans, specifications, and all bidding forms may be examined with the documents linked below. Bidders SHALL request the electronic copy of the bid package by sending their request to engineer@cityofelyria.org to be added to the plan holders list in order to receive any addenda. Electronic copies of the bid documents and plans will be sent via email. Questions should be directed to engineer@cityofelyria.org . BID SECURITY: The bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty. The bid guaranty must meet all requirements of Section 153.54 of the ORC and the Instructions to Bidders. BUY OHIO: All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of this project. DOMESTIC STEEL USE REQUIREMENTS AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 153.001 OF THE REVISED CODE APPLY TO THIS PROJECT. COPIES OF SECTION 153.001 OF THE REVISED CODE CAN BE OBTAINED FROM ANY OF THE OFFICES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES. COMPLETION TIME: The contractor will have until August 28, 2026.
