Print Bid Number: 2021-12 Bid Title: MGW Extend Runway 18-36 Construction Phase 2 Category: Construction Status: Closed Description: NOTICE TO BIDDERS SEALED PROPOSALS for the “MGW Extend Runway 18-36 Construction Phase 2” for the Morgantown Municipal Airport, will be received by the City of Morgantown Finance Dept., Bid Number 2021-12, located at City Hall, 389 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV 26505, until 10:00 A.M. local time on April 28, 2021. The proposals will then be publicly opened and read aloud in the City Council Chambers on the Second Floor of City Hall (late proposals will not be accepted). In-person attendance is limited to one attendee per prime bidder and masks are required to be worn and social distancing is required. The City of Morgantown will be live streaming the bid openings from their website. All proposals must be submitted as ONE ORIGINAL, ONE COPY & ONE ELECTRONIC PDF VERSION ON THUMB DRIVE according to the request for proposals and upon a uniform proposal blank. Bid documents may be obtained from Michael Baker International, Inc., Airside Business Park, 100 Airside Drive, Moon Township, PA 15108. Bidding and Contract Documents will be made available after March 29, 2021 and may be obtained via eFTP link by sending a request to Joseph Purpura at . A pre-bid meeting will be held both in-person and virtually via Cisco WebEx at 10:00 A.M. local time on April 6, 2021. The meeting will be held in the Municipal Airport, Airport Management Building in the Admin Conference Room, First Floor. In-person attendance is limited to one attendee per contractor and masks are required to be worn and social distancing is required. Bidders wishing to attend the pre-bid virtually must request an invitation to be able to access the WebEX meeting. Requests for the meeting invitation can be directed to Joseph Purpura at . The purpose of this meeting will be to familiarize the prospective bidders with the proposed project. The meeting will cover contract scope, security badging requirements, bid items, schedule requirements, and any questions from those in attendance. A representative of the Airport, the City, and the Engineer will be on hand to respond to questions from potential Bidders in attendance. A site visit will be held immediately following the meeting for those in attendance. Additional site visits may be requested by appointment only by contacting Kenny Myers at Kmyers @morgantownwv.gov . Hardhats, safety vests, and safety googles will be required for site visit and will be the responsibility of the contractor to have. Masks are required to be worn and social distancing is required at all in-person meetings/site visits. Proposal must be accompanied by cash, certified check, cashier’s check, bank good faith check, or other irrevocable letter of credit or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total amount of proposal and made payable to the order of the City of Morgantown. Only the Bid Securities listed will be accepted. The City of Morgantown reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals.
