Print Bid Title: Engineering Services for Water and Wastewater User Rate Study Category: Bids/RFPs Status: Closed Description: The city of Columbus seeks a qualified consultant to conduct a comprehensive cost of service analysis and rate study for water and wastewater service to the city of Columbus’ customers. The intent of the study is to independently assess and evaluate the city’s existing water and wastewater rates and provide recommendations for a new Water and Wastewater Rate Structure for at least the next 5 years. This will involve evaluating revenue and expenditures on the operational side as well as the capital side, developing a simple Excel spreadsheet model that can be adjusted in future years by the city, and making recommendations for Water and Wastewater Rates as well as other changes to the city’s program, policies and processes that can maximize current revenue streams while still ensuring the city’s Water and Wastewater System remains financially secure and healthy. The broad objective of the study is to adequately fund water and wastewater operations and capital costs while minimizing user rates and fees to the greatest extent possible.
