ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID Bid #6812 Southeast High Gym AC 4530 Southeast School Rd Greensboro, NC 27406 Informal proposals will be received by the Guilford County School System until 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 24TH, 2025 at 714 Green Valley Road, Greensboro, North Carolina 27408, to furnish all materials and labor for the Southeast High Gym AC for Southeast High School. Bids will be privately opened and evaluated thereafter. Plans, specifications, and contract documents will be available free of charge for inspection in electronic format beginning Tuesday, February 24, 2026 by contacting the designer directly at hakeembailey@aeroraq.com , AeroRaq Engineering Inc, 8511 Davis Lake Parkway, Suite C6 - 205 Charlotte NC 28269, Phone (704) 469 8463. Bidders will be responsible for checking with the engineer for updates. Natural gas fired outdoor rooftop package units will be installed to provide heating and cooling to the gymnasium and auditorium. Ductwork will include connecting to existing duct for auditorium and fabric duct for the gym. All work under this contract is to be included in a Single Prime contract to the successful bidder. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on site at March 5th 2026 at 10:30 am. Report to the front office. Bids will not be accepted from contractors that were not represented at the pre-bid meeting by an employee on their payroll staff Bidders must be properly licensed for the work in accordance with Section 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. A 5% Bid Bond and 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds are required for this project. Bids may not be withdrawn or changed for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. E-Verify Requirements: This project requires the awarded vendor to comply with the requirements of E-Verify. (U.S. law requiring companies to employ only individuals who may legally work in the United States – either U.S. citizens, or foreign citizens who have the necessary authorization.) Minority businesses are encouraged to submit bids for this project. The appropriate forms from the section entitled “Participation by Women and Minority Owned Businesses” must be submitted with each bid to show good faith efforts to obtain Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise participation. The Board of Education awards public contracts without regard to race, religion, color, creed, national origin, sex, age or handicapped condition as defined by North Carolina General Statutes, Section 168A-3.
