(prevailing time) on Wednesday , February 13 th , 2020 and at that time and place publicly opened and read. Bids will be accepted from all bidders. The City of Belfast will not accept facsimile nor electronic bids. Description: WIN 024505.00 Location: In Waldo County, project is located: 25 Front St., Belfast, Maine Outline of Work: construction and installation to replace eight (8) timber plastic drum floats: (6) 6’ x 20’, one (1) 6’ x 18’ 7”, and one (1) 6’ x 17’ 5”. The City of Belfast shall make an award of the contract to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. They may be purchased from the City of Belfast between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. by cash, credit card (Visa/Mastercard) or check payable to City of Belfast, Maine sent to City of Belfast, Attn.: Clerk’s Office, 131 Church St., Belfast, Maine 04915. They also may be purchased by telephone at (207) 338-3370 x 14 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bid Book $10.00 ($14.00 by mail), Single Sheets $1, payment in advance, all non-refundable. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the City of Belfast and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier’s check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of $2,500 payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable State Laws. If the Contract exceeds $50,000.00, then state wage rates shall be required. All work shall be governed by “State of Maine, Department of Transportation, Standard Specifications, Revision of November 2014”, price $10 [$13 by mail], and Standard Details, Revision of November 2014, price $20 [$25 by mail].
