Plan & Spec Available: There will be a non-mandatory remote pre-bid meeting held via video conference on February 18th, 2025 at 10:00 am CT. Specification and bidding documents may be inspected at Brookings Regional Landfill, 4101 30th Street, Brookings, South Dakota. Prospective bidders may visit the site with approval. Bidders may contact Stan Hanson at Houston Engineering Inc at 605-271-0378 to gain approval and with any questions. Qualifications: All bidders are required to hold all applicable South Dakota tax licenses. Bidder is required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount not less than the contract price, for the faithful performance of the contract. Contractor shall promptly pay all persons supplying him/her with labor or material in the performance of the work provided for in the contract. By virtue of Statutory Authority, preference will be given to materials, products, and supplies found or procured within the State of South Dakota. Special Requirements: All bids must be signed and submitted in a sealed envelope and shall state on the lower left-hand corner of the envelope “Bid for 2025-01LFM Brookings Regional Landfill Leachate Improvements.” Any bids received after the deadline will not be accepted. Miscellaneous: No bids may be withdrawn after the time set for the opening of bids. Action on the bids will occur within 30 days of the bid opening. The City of Brookings reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and all bids.
