NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by Whatcom County Administrative Services Finance/Purchasing at their office on the fifth floor of the Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Avenue, Suite 503, Bellingham WA 98225 for purchase and installation of the following: Drayton Harbor Road Landslide Repair, CRP No. 923001 UNTIL: 2:30 PM Tuesday, April 7, 2026 At which time and place the bids will be opened (virtual via Zoom), and read aloud. All bidders and any other interested persons are invited to watch the virtual bid opening via Zoom. Late submittals will not be considered. Whatcom County Public Works requests bids for the Drayton Harbor Road Landslide Repair project, CRP No. 923001. The construction contract includes tieback soldier pile retaining wall construction, concrete moment slab and traffic barrier construction, waterline relocation, stormwater improvements, HMA paving, and landscape restoration., and other work, as further described in the bid documents. There is an apprenticeship utilization minimum requirement of 15% of total labor hours for this contract. Award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder. Whatcom County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any irregularities. Whatcom County encourages disadvantaged, minority, and women owned firms to respond. Whatcom County, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
