Expression of Interest – Industrial Gate, Controller, and Driver System Repairs - PR15788834

The U.S. Government requests companies with the proficiency and financial means to bid on the Industrial Gate repairs

Scope of work includes:

This specification outlines the requirements for contractor services to perform repairs on a gate system located at 100 Totius Street, Groenkloof, Pretoria, South Africa. The system includes HySecurity SlideDriver 40 gate motors (4,000 lb, 1 ft/s), the physical sliding gates (tracks, wheels, and steel structure), a Siemens-based PLC system with three interlocked control panels, associated control wiring, and fiber network infrastructure.

The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to diagnose, repair, and test the following components:

  • Gate Operators: HySecurity SlideDriver 40, 4,000 lb (1,814 kg) capacity, 1 ft/s (30 cm/s) speed.
  • Physical Gates: Sliding gates, including tracks, wheels, and steel structure.
  • Controller and Driver System: Siemens-based Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) system.
  • Control Panels: Three interlocked control panels.
  • Control Wiring: All wiring associated with gate operation, safety devices, and control panels.
  • Network Infrastructure: Associated fiber optic network supporting the control system

U.S Government Payment terms:

Note that NO DEPOSIT payments will be authorized.

The Embassy issues only fixed priced contracts; therefore, you must confirm that your prices will remain fixed.  The US Embassy will make no provision for fluctuations in price or exchange rates after the order has been placed.  If your price is dependent on these fluctuations, you MUST make provision for possible increases in your quoted price. 

Available Payment methods:

EFT – Payment will be made within 30 calendar days after delivery of goods and/or services AND receipt of invoice, whichever is later.

Kindly be advised that as a Diplomatic Mission we represent the U.S. Government and are unable to sign any legal documents, including credit applications and T’s & C’s.  By submitting a quote, you waiver any such requirement.

The attached FAR and DOSAR clauses attached form part of this contract.

U.S. National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Section 889(a)(1)(B)

The US Government’s Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) has been updated with new clauses and provisions, per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Section 889(a)(1)(B), that impact the U.S. Government entering new or extending current contracts, purchase orders, task/delivery orders, purchase card orders, petty cash purchases, Blanket Purchase Agreement or any other acquisition method. These newly introduced FAR clauses will have impact on any acquisition made by the U.S. Government no matter the acquisition value.
