Print Bid Number: #2019-36 Bid Title: James Valley Community Center Roof Category: Public Works Status: Closed Description: Sealed bids for furnishing all materials, labor, supervision, tools and equipment necessary or incidental to the removal of the existing EPDM roof membrane, damaged insulation and replacing with new insulation/and roofing underlayment and EPDM roof membrane; and/or cleaning existing EPDM roof membrane and preparing existing EPDM roof surfaces for a spray-on silicone roofing restoration material. Contractors can submit bids on one or both type roofing systems if certified applicators for each type system. Bids are to be submitted no later than 1:30 PM on the 24 th day of June 2019; to the City Finance Officer of the City of Mitchell, South Dakota in the City Hall Building after which they will be publically opened and read aloud. The low bid may be awarded by the City Council of Mitchell during their regular meeting. All bids shall be made on the blank forms provided and must be executed in complete accordance with the requirements contained in the “Instructions to Bidders” of the Project Manual specifications. Plans and specifications are on file in the City Finance Office and may be obtained from the City Engineer located at 612 North Main Street, Mitchell SD 57301. Telephone 605-995-8435. Each bid shall be addressed to the City of Mitchell Finance Officer, 612 North Main Street, Mitchell, SD 57301 and marked: BID FOR: JAMES VALLEY COMMUNITY CENTER REROOFING/ROOF RESTORATION CITY PROJECT 2019-36 A bid bond for ten percent(10%) of the amount of the bid, such bond to be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota and countersigned by a resident agent payable to the Finance Officer of the City of Mitchell, South Dakota, must accompany the bid as a guaranty the bidder will enter into a contract within ten(10) days after the award of the contract upon demand. Checks of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned after award of contract. Payment and Performance Bonds acceptable to the City of Mitchell in an amount of not less than the total bid price will be required by the City of Mitchell, South Dakota from the successful bidder.
