Print Bid Title: Custom Fire Aerial Apparatus Category: Bid Opportunities Status: Closed Description: NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 400 East Military Avenue, Fremont, Nebraska, 68025 until 10:30 a.m. on April 17, 2015, and be publicly opened and read in the Council Chambers at that time for the purchase of a ONE (1) Custom Fire Aerial Apparatus. Specifications are available from the City Clerk or online at www.fremontne.gov ; and, in order to be valid, bids must be submitted to the City Clerk’s office on the specifications furnished. Bids are to be submitted in a sealed envelope labeled "BID FOR CUSTOM FIRE AERIAL APPARATUS". Bids received after the above specified time for opening will be returned unopened to the sender. The bidder shall submit with each proposal a certified check, cashier's check, or a bank draft on a solvent Nebraska bank insured by FDIC or a bid bond payable to the City Treasurer of the City of Fremont, Nebraska, the amount of which shall be not less than five percent (5%) of the bid price and which shall guarantee good faith on the part of the bidder and the entering into contract within 15 days after City Council acceptance. If the bid is accepted and the bidder fails to execute the contract documents, the City has the option to retain the bid security. All bid securities will be held until contracts are executed. The bid security of the successful bidder will be retained until the equipment has been delivered and accepted by the City. The City of Fremont reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid received and to accept any bid which is deemed most favorable to the City of Fremont, at the time and under conditions stipulated in the General Conditions. The City will evaluate the bids based on total price, compliance to specifications, apparatus design, quality, delivery, economy of operation, warranty, experience of the manufacturer, materials, availability of service for repair, maintenance and adaptability. The delivery date will be an important consideration. The City reserves the right to select the equipment which best suits its needs, whether or not it is the lowest bid. Bidders may not withdraw bids for a period of ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening. The City of Fremont is an equal opportunity employer and requires all contractors and consultants to comply with all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. BIDDERS PLEASE NOTE that no technical questions will be answered by the City of Fremont during the twenty-four (24) hours immediately preceding the bid opening time and date.
