Description:

This requirement is for Super Q water system services at the National Veterinary Services Laboratories (NVSL). The services include but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Biannual Preventive Maintenance: Full mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical checks, performance verification, cleaning, and lubrication.
  • Filter & Component Replacement: All required filters and cleaners changed per manufacturer specifications; UV lamp replaced as needed.
  • Genuine Parts & Standards: Use Millipore Sigma ISO® 9001-certified parts and system-specific maintenance kits.
  • Qualified Service: Performed by factory-trained engineers following Millipore Sigma procedures.
  • Support & Reporting: Unlimited troubleshooting during business hours, all spare parts included, and detailed service reports provided.

RFO FAR 12.201-1 Simplified procedures will be used for awarding the contract. The anticipated award date is March 24th, 2026.

The intended source for this acquisition is EMD Millipore Corporation, 400 Summit Drive, Burlington, MA 01803.

Millipore Sigma is the only vendor capable of performing maintenance on the Super Q water system due to the proprietary nature of the equipment. Millipore Sigma is the original manufacturer of this system and exclusively produces the required components including the filters, UV lights, and decontamination solutions designed specifically for this equipment. Additionally, Millipore Sigma is the sole source for technical support, parts, and services necessary to maintain and ensure the proper functioning of this proprietary water system. No other vendor has access to the proprietary manuals, parts, or expertise required to perform these services.
