Description
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) employs specific jobs that require employees to be in roles where exposure to hazardous substances or environments is inherent. Implementing a medical clearance and fit testing program is paramount for CDPH to ensure employees can perform their assigned tasks without compromising their health and wellbeing. In addition, adhering to medical clearance and respiratory fit test protocols, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, thereby fostering a safer and compliant workplace. The CDPH, Human Resources Division - Health and Safety Section is soliciting bids from qualified bidders to provide respirator medical evaluation and respirator fit testing to CDPH staff (employees, contractors, Federal assignees, trainees, EIS officers, etc.) throughout the state. Medical evaluations and fit test procedures must be in compliance with Cal/OSHA CCR Title 8 Section 5144. Fit testing methods shall also conform to the ANSI standard Z88.10-2010. The Human Resources Division - Health and Safety Section intends to make a single contract award to the most responsive and responsible firm offering the lowest cost.
