Print Bid Title: WSC Alumni House Sewer Service Category: Current Bids & RFPs Status: Closed Description: ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The City of Wayne will be accepting sealed bids for a new sanitary sewer service line to be installed at 1119 Walnut Street (Wayne State College Foundation Alumni House), Wayne, Nebraska. Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. on July 1, 2020, and awarded on July 7, 2020, at the Wayne City Council meeting. Bids may be mailed to the City of Wayne, Attn: Betty McGuire, City Clerk, PO Box 8, Wayne, NE 68787, by email to , or submitted in person at the city offices located at 306 Pearl Street. The City advises that each bidder visits the site prior to submitting and discuss the project with City personnel. The below picture shows an approximate route (in yellow). The green circle is an existing manhole, and the green line is the sewer main. Contractor would have the choice to: 1) Enter into the manhole at whatever depth they choose (with some additional utilities and landscaping to manage), -or- 2) Tap the existing sewer main with a saddle at an approximate 20-foot depth Approximately 380' of 4" PVC material for the line Three (3) additional cleanouts would be required One (1) check valve would be required Includes hooking new service back up to residence Furnish all materials for the job as well as all labor With any questions concerning the above proposal requirements, please contact Casey Junck, Water Supervisor at (402) 375-5250. A cashier's check or performance bond in the amount of $500 and proof of $1,000,000 in liability insurance coverage (naming the City as an additional insured and waiving subrogation requirements) will be required before awarded bidder begins work. The City of Wayne reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities in the bidding.
