CST on Monday, March 7, 2016 for furnishing the City of Minot the following: “ Bid for No. 4071- 36 th Ave NW Extension to Broadway Improvements” Specifications and general instructions for bidders are available in the City Engineer’s Office at 1025 31 st Street SE or digital project bidding documents will be available at www.mooreengineeringinc.com/bidinfo or www.questcdn.com . You may download the complete set of digital documents for a nonrefundable fee of $20.00 by locating eBidDoc TM Number 4199677 on the website. The “Base Bid” work consists of Sanitary, Water, Storm, Roadway, Lighting & Signal Improvements along 36 th Avenue NW (City Project No. 4071) for the City of Minot described as follows: Sanitary Sewer Main and Structures; Water Main, Water Main Boring, Water Hydrants, Valves, and appurtenances; Storm Sewer Main and Structures, Storm Water Detention Pond, Storm Water Lift Station; Removal-Bituminous Pavement, Concrete Valley Gutter, Concrete Sidewalk and 10’ Walk/Bike Path, Drainage Culvert, Concrete Driveway, Curb & Gutter; Aggregate Base Course - Class 5, Asphalt Base Course CL-31, Asphalt Wear Course - 2" CL-31, Surface Aggregate, Truncated Dome Panel, Bituminous Material for Tack Coat, Pavement Striping and Messages; Remove and/or Relocate Signs; Street Light Units and Electrical Components, Traffic Signals and Components; Clearing & Grubbing, Seeding & Hydro-mulch, Erosion Control; Traffic Control, Material Testing, Mobilization, Contract Bonding, and other miscellaneous items. The “Alternate 1 Bid” work consists of Lighting Improvements along 36 th Avenue NW (City Project No. 4071) for the City of Minot with the following quantities: 19 EA LED Luminaire Retrofit. The City of Minot retains the right to award the base bid and either accept or not accept the Alternate 1 bid. The materials listed in the Base Bid work above, shall be delivered to the City of Minot as soon as possible after the bid is awarded. Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing the bid security. The bid security must be in a sum equal to five (5) percent of the full amount of the bid and must be in the form of a bidder’s bond. A bidder’s bond must be executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety, conditioned, that if the principal’s bid is accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten (10) days after notice of the award, shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and the bid bond and any condition of the governing body. A countersignature of a bid bond is not required. If a successful bidder does not execute a contract within the ten (10) days allowed, the bidder’s bond must be forfeited to the governing body and the project awarded to the next lowest responsible bidder. No bid may be read or considered if it does not fully comply with the requirements of Section 48-01.1-05 of the North Dakota Century Code, and any deficient bid submitted will be resealed and returned to the bidder immediately. The bid envelope shall be plainly marked: “ Bid for No. 4071- 36 th Ave NW Extension to Broadway Improvements” The City Council of the City of Minot reserves the right to hold all bids for thirty (30) days, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid and to award the contract as it deems to be in the best interest of the City of Minot.
