Print Bid Number: 2021-7 Bid Title: 9th & 5th Reconstruction Project Category: Construction Projects Status: Closed Bid Recipient: City of Mitchell, SD Description: CITY OF MITCHELL SOUTH DAKOTA 9 TH & 5 TH RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the construction of the 9 th and 5 th Reconstruction Project will be received by The City of Mitchell , at the office of the Finance Officer in City Hall, 612 N Main Street, Mitchell SD , until 1:30 PM local time on March 15, 2022 , at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read in the City Council Chambers of City Hall . The Project consists of utility and surfacing construction including sanitary sewer, water main, and storm sewer reconstruction as well as surfacing reconstruction including asphalt paving, sidewalks, driveways, and other corresponding construction items on 9 th Avenue from Sanborn Boulevard to Lawler Street and 5 th Avenue from Sanborn Boulevard to Main Street. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is the City of Mitchell, Finance Office, 612 N. Main Street, Mitchell, SD 57301, ph. 605-995-8420 . Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9 A.M. and 4 P.M., and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Upon request, one copy of Contract Documents shall be furnished, without charge to each Contractor resident in South Dakota who intends, in good faith, to bid upon the project An electronic copy of the plans and specifications may be obtained on the City of Mitchell’s website www.cityofmitchell.org . Bidding Documents also may be examined at the office of the Engineer, McLaury Engineering, Inc., 110 N. First Street, Parkston, SD 57366, ph. 605-928-7676 , on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 A.M. and 5 P.M . Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Pursuant to State Law, a copy of the bidder's sales and use tax license and a copy of the bidder's excise tax license as issued by the State of South Dakota must accompany the bid. In lieu of a copy of the license, the bidder shall submit appropriate evidence that the bidder and all affiliates have the appropriate licenses. The City of Mitchell reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
