Bids must be based upon the specifications on file in the office of the Fire Chief, 209 2nd Ave. N.W., Jamestown, North Dakota. Copies of the specifications may be examined or obtained upon request from the office of the Fire Chief. There shall be endorsed upon the outside of the sealed envelope containing the bid the following words, BID FOR TWENTY-SIX PROTECTIVE ENSEMBLES FOR STRUCTURAL FIRE FIGHTING, and name of bidder. The City Council of the City of Jamestown, North Dakota, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities and to hold all bids until the next regularly scheduled council meeting. Plan & Spec Available: https://www.jamestownnd.gov/DocumentCenter/View/1259/Bid-Specifications-for-Fire-Fighter-Equipment-PDF Qualifications: TWENTY-SIX (26) PROTECTIVE ENSEMBLES FOR STRUCTURAL FIRE FIGHTING FOR THE JAMESTOWN FIRE DEPARTMENT SPECIFICATIONS •All garments shall meet or exceed the criteria set forth in the current NFPA Standard 1971 latest revision for Protective Ensemble for Structural Fire Fighting. •State brand and model of coat and pant supplied. Coat and pant must be constructed as to match in design and of materials used in their construction i.e. outer shell, moisture barrier, thermal barrier, face cloth. Two options may be submitted for the design and of materials used for the construction of the outer shells. •Successful bid shall be determined by price, overall quality of garment offered (to be determined by City of Jamestown Council and Jamestown Fire Department), materials used in the construction of the garment, and vendors ability to provide future product support for garments provided. •Prices must be firm for a period of 60 days from bid opening date. Jamestown Fire Department shall evaluate the offerings during this period. •Bidder to state business name, address, contact person, and phone number. •Successful bidder shall be available to size fire fighters on three separate dates, if necessary, to accommodate the fire fighters work schedule. Supplier provided sizing suits shall be used for all measurements. All sizing costs shall be included in the bid price.
