<p>SALE ADVERTISEMENT</p><p>Sand Beach 25/26 Salvage Sale</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This is a salvage sale of approximately 71 acres of wildfire-damaged timber on Apalachicola River Wildlife and Environmental Area in Franklin County, Florida (see attached maps).&nbsp; There are currently 38 acres of planted slash pine that need immediate salvaging by clearcutting.&nbsp; The 33-acre contingency area is within the burn area and can be added as needed by the Forester-in-Charge.&nbsp; Timber available for harvest includes all merchantable pine timber within the sale boundaries.&nbsp; &nbsp;Sale boundaries are roads, firelines, obvious timber type changes, or lines marked with paint or flagging.&nbsp; The successful bidder must start harvesting within two weeks of contract execution and must not stop harvesting for longer than 72 hours without approval from the Forester-in-Charge.&nbsp; This will be a six (6) month contract.&nbsp; The purchaser will be solely responsible for making roads serviceable for logging operations. There is no volume estimate for this sale; products include salvage pine pulpwood, and salvage pine chip-n-saw &amp; better.
