Description

Section 16.711, Florida Statutes outlines the powers and duties of the Florida Gaming Control Commission's (FGCC) Division of Gaming Enforcement. This statute states that all Division of Gaming Enforcement Special Agents are certified law enforcement officers and have the power to detect, apprehend, and arrest for any alleged violation of chapter 24, part II of chapter 285, chapter 546, chapter 550, chapter 551, or chapter 849, or any rule adopted pursuant thereto, or any law of the State of Florida. These Special Agents may enter upon any premises at which gaming activities are taking place in the state for the performance of their lawful duties and may take with them any necessary equipment.

The Axon Enterprise, Inc. TASER 10 Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW) is a multi-shot energy weapon with a detachable magazine holding 10, TASER 10 cartridges and has a range of 45 feet when deployed. This CEW provides a high-efficiency flashlight, a green LASER sight, weapons log, and a central information display that shows mission critical data such as remaining battery energy, burst time, and cartridge status. The TASER Weapons Docking System, which is included with this purchase, connects to the AXON Evidence.Com system, which the Florida Gaming Control Commission (FGCC) Division of Gaming Enforcement already utilizes for digital evidence management purposes. Additionally, the TASER Weapons Docking System provides onboard self-diagnostic and system status monitoring and reporting when the TASER 10 CEWs are plugged into the docking system.

Currently, Special Agents assigned to the FGCC Division of Gaming Enforcement do not utilize this type of weapon. Allowing Special Agents, specifically those agents assigned to operational or high-risk enforcement units, to utilize these weapons will strengthen agent safety, improve less-lethal effectiveness, and align the FGCC Division of Gaming Enforcement’s equipment and training with modern law enforcement standards.

The signal updates as new awarded notices enter the system. Always validate the official award and solicitation details on SAM.gov.

What do P10 and P90 mean?

P10 is the 10th percentile award size and P90 is the 90th percentile. Together they describe the typical spread of award values.
