Through this Request for Proposals, EKU seeks to establish a comprehensive campus approach to employee health, student health, and sports medicine that improves access, enhances care quality, and strengthens the university’s long-term financial sustainability. EKU’s self-insured health plan, growing campus population, and commitment to excellence in education and athletics require a healthcare partnership capable of innovation, collaboration, and measurable outcomes. Key objectives of this initiative include: • Developing a comprehensive on-campus health clinic that supports employees, dependents, and students with accessible primary, urgent, preventive, and chronic-care services. • Providing high-quality, Division I-level sports medicine care for approximately 400 student-athletes, with on- campus clinic coverage and state-of-the-art diagnostic capacity. • Expanding behavioral and mental-health support through integrated psychiatric and counseling services for students. • Negotiating preferred rates and bundled pricing for specialist visits, surgical procedures, and sports-medicine care to reduce overall costs within EKU’s self-insured plan. • Partnering on pharmacy cost control and medication delivery solutions, including centralized dispensing and direct-to-clinic or campus delivery options. • Implementing a data-driven reporting framework that supports transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across all health domains.
