Print Bid Number: ITB 25-08 Bid Title: ITB 25-08: NEWARK MAIN STREET SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS Category: Construction Services Status: Closed Description: Sealed bids in response to the Invitation to Bid No. 25-08, Newark Main Street Safety Improvements, will be received by the Purchasing Division (220 South Main Street; Newark, Delaware 19711) until 2:00 p.m., prevailing time on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, and will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chamber shortly thereafter. Alternatively, bids may also be emailed in PDF form to the City Purchasing Division at by the deadline noted above and will be opened after the closing date and time and will be publicly recorded in the Council Chamber shortly thereafter. Please note that only emails up to 25 MB in size can be accepted. Prevailing wage rates apply to this project. The proposed work should conform to the 2025 DelDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. All questions/requests for information regarding this Invitation to Bid must be submitted via email to by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025 to allow staff sufficient time to develop answers to questions deemed appropriate. Please submit all questions/requests for information in bulk (e.g., in a Word document attachment to an email) to limit the total number of emails received. The Invitation to Bid documents may be obtained from the City website at www.newarkde.gov/bids . NOTE: In compliance with 29 Del. C. § 6923(e)(1), due to the emergent and time-sensitive nature of the scope of work prescribed in ITB 25-08, the bid opening is set for seven (7) calendars days from the date of first advertisement.
