Print Bid Title: 2017 Nuisance Abatement (4274) Category: City Clerk Status: Closed Description: Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Minot, North Dakota, will receive sealed bids for the 2017 Nuisance Abatement project at the office of the City Clerk, 515 2 nd Ave SW, Minot, ND 58701 , until 11:00 A.M ., Central Time, on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read in the Council Chambers. All bids must be submitted, and all work shall be done in full and strict compliance with: Contract Documents for this project The 2013 City of Minot Standard Specifications and Details heretofore approved by City Council of the City of Minot and on file in the offices of the City Clerk and the City Engineer of the City of Minot Supplemental Project Specifications Contract Documents can be examined at the following location: Minot Builders Exchange – 2424 Burdick Expressway E, Minot, ND 58701 Complete digital project bidding documents are available at www.questcdn.com. You may download the digital plan documents for $20 by inputting Quest project #4848906 on the website’s Project Search page. Please contact QuestCDN.com at 952-233-1632 or for assistance in free membership registration, downloading, and working with this digital project information. An optional paper set of Contract Documents and Standard Specification is also available at the City Engineer’s Office in the Public Works Building, 1025 31 st St. SE, Minot, ND for a $50 non-refundable fee. The work consists of the following approximate quantities: 110 CY Common Excavation; 30 CY of Topsoil; 175 LF of 4’ Plastic Safety Fence w/5’ Steel Post 8’ OC; 45 TON Inert Debris Removal; 1,000 SY Seeding & Hydro-mulch; 7,000 SY of Clearing & Grubbing Overgrowth; 5 EA Clearing & Grubbing Tree The quantities listed above are based upon estimations of work to be done at multiple sites within the City of Minot. The quantities are estimates only to obtain bid pricing and to select a contractor for the work. The City of Minot reserves the right to adjust quantities up or down for each bid item by 100 percent. All bids are to be submitted on the basis of cash payment for the work and materials, and are to be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the undersigned City Clerk, accompanied by a separate envelope containing a bidder’s bond in a sum equal to 5% of the full amount of the bid, executed by the bidder as principal, and by a surety, conditioned that if the principal’s bid is accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten days after notice of award, shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and a contractor’s bond as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the Minot City Council. Countersignature of a bid bond is not required. Also, any bidder must be licensed for the full amount of the bid, as required by Section 43-07-05 of the North Dakota Century Code. Also, a copy of the bidder’s contractor license or license renewal must be included in the bid bond envelope, conforming to the North Dakota Century Code 43-07-12. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish both a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract. The City Council reserves the right to hold all bids for thirty days, to reject all bids and to waive any informality in any bid. There shall be endorsed upon the outside of the envelope containing the bid, the following: “Bid for 2017 Nuisance Abatement Project No. 4274” The name of the person, firm or corporation submitting the bid. Acknowledgement of any Addenda issued by the City Engineer. The work shall be started on a date to be fixed by the City Council, notice of which will be given to the contractor ten days in advance. The Contractor will have 5 calendar days to complete the work at each parcel for the 2017 Nuisance Abatement project. Work orders will be assigned in small groups to the Contractor and must be completed before the next set of works order is assigned. All work on this contract shall be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before November 3, 2017 .
