Print Bid Title: Classification and Compensation Study and Analysis Category: Miscellaneous Status: Closed Description: The City of Morgantown, West Virginia (“Morgantown”) is requesting proposals from qualified firms who are interested in providing a Classification and Compensation Study and Analysis to provide recommendations to the City to ensure its Pay Plan, pay practices, and job classifications support the overall mission and strategic plan. Proposals must be received by the Human Resources Department, City of Morgantown, 389 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV 26505, by Friday, January 24, 2020, 3:00pm (Eastern Time). The proposals will be opened at 3:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the same address. Hard copies of the Request for Proposals for the Classification and Compensation Study and Analysis are available from the Human Resources Department at the same address. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive technicalities, and make or decline award(s) as deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Morgantown. View the full RFP under the related document link on this post. Scope of Work The City of Morgantown is seeking professional services for a compensation and classification study. Morgantown desires to maintain an internally and externally equitable and competitive City Pay plan. The goal is to have the consultant review and make recommendations to the current City Pay Plan, current pay practices, job duties and classifications, and then provide an implementation plan for any changes. The current City Pay Plan consists of approximately 85 different positions. All have assigned individual pay entry rates. All employees receive the same base pay rate for each position regardless of years of experience or seniority. Additional pay may be received for approved certifications and longevity. Additional pay may also be received for certain positions based upon hazard exposure and needed retention.
