Bid Recipient: Eric Gallas Highway Superintendent Description: RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids on forms prepared by the Public Works Department will be received by the Town of Milton, at the Milton Town Offices, 43 Bombardier Road, Milton Vermont, until 2:00 p.m. (local time) on March 15, 2023 for the FY2023 Roadway Resurfacing Projects. The contract generally includes work on the following roads: Haydenberry Drive, Ellison Street, Lamoille Terrace, Arrowhead Avenue, Brandy Lane, Whisper Lane, Ducks Court, Winter Lane, Andrea Lane, Westford Road, and Mears Road in the Town of Milton. All work will be in accordance with Drawings, Specifications and other Contract Documents and information prepared by the Town of Milton, 43 Bombardier Road, Milton Vermont. BIDS WILL BE PUBLICLY OPENED AND READ AT 2:00 p.m. (local time) on March 15, 2023 at the Public Works Department at Milton Town Offices at 43 Bombardier Road, Milton Vermont. OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Digital Drawings, Specifications, and other Contract Documents may be obtained by emailing John Little, Stantec Consulting Services Inc. at . Prospective bidders will be added to the Plan Holder List and will be provided with access to the Town’s website at: https://www.miltonvt.gov/bids.aspx . All Drawings, Specifications, Contract Documents, Addendums, and other relevant project information will be available on the Town’s website: https://www.miltonvt.gov/bids.aspx . It is the responsibility of the Prospective Bidder to review relevant project information located on the Town BID site. Prospective Bidders must be on the Plan Holder List to be eligible to submit a bid. PRE-BID MEETING: The Town of Milton will hold a non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting on March 1,2023 at 11:00 a.m. to discuss the project. The Pre-Bid meeting will be held on Zoom and all plan holders will be provided with access to the Zoom meeting. BID GUARANTY: Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable form of Bid Guaranty in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid, payable to the Town of Milton as a guaranty that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract and file acceptable Performance, Labor, and Material Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after the award of the Contract. Acceptable form for a Bid Guaranty is either a bid bond or certified check. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. CONTRACT TIME: If awarded the Contract, the Contractor agrees to complete all work in its entirety, as shown in the Contract Plans, on or before June 30, 2023 (all locations). The Contractor shall provide the Town of Milton with one payment request, for all work associated with the project, upon completion of the project in its entirety.
