Listed below are instructions and conditions to bidders, and specifications on attached specifications sheets Publication Date/Time: 1/29/2021 8:00 AM Closing Date/Time: 2/26/2021 1:00 PM Special Requirements: INSTRUCTIONS AND CONDITIONS 1. Bidders are requested to submit their proposals to the Montpelier Fire & Ambulance Department, 61 Main Street, Montpelier Vermont 05602 on or before 1 PM on February 26, 2021. 2. Prompt delivery is essential and bidders are requested to indicate a delivery date. 3. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked. BID- 4WD TYPE 1 AMBULANCE 4. As a municipal corporation, the City of Montpelier is exempt from taxes, and taxes should be omitted form quotations. Federal Excise Exemptions Certificates will be executed upon request. 5. The successful bidder must provide a customary owner’s service policy, manufacturer’s warranty of parts and workmanship, and new equipment inspection service. 6. The City Council of the City of Montpelier reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, and make the award in the best interest of the City Of Montpelier. Low bid does not always have to be taken. The Council also reserves the right to waive any informality or technicality. In making the award, consideration will be given to price, quality and dealer service. 7. Requirements are outlined on the following specifications sheets; additional features for the best interest of the City will be considered. Such features will be quoted and commented on separately. 8. With the completed bid, the bidder will also return the attached blank specification sheet with each item completed with actual sizes and capacities of the unit bid on. 9. The successful bidder will guarantee to provide with the unit current shop manuals or CD-ROM covering service (including drive-ability and electrical), parts and diagnostic information for the new unit. Should the successful bidder be unable to provide shop manuals at the time of invoicing, the City will retain One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) form the unit price until the manuals are present. If the manuals are not receives within thirty (30) days of the Invoice, the City will consider the One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) as a discount for the dealer being unable to provide said manuals. 10. Bidders are hereby notified that the City of Montpelier will accept only GUARANTEED BID PRICES. 11. Each bidder will be asked to consider for trade-in: 2009 International 2WD Chassis with a Type 3 Warrior Ambulance Box With 4 spare Rims and tires also 1 Ambulance Stretcher Trade-in allowance for the unit should be deducted from your bid price. This unit will be traded in as-is condition with all original equipment included unless otherwise stated, and arrangements may be made to inspect the vehicle by contacting the Montpelier Fire Department at 61 Main Street, Montpelier Vermont, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 6 PM Monday through Friday. 12. If it is decided to be in the best interest of the City, the City may consider not trading this vehicle.
